Burial Grounds
Kashya's Rogue scouts have reported an abomination in the Monastery
graveyard. Blood Raven, one of the Rogue's finest captains in the battle against
Diablo at Tristram, has been corrupted by Andariel. She can be found in the
Monastery graveyard raising the Rogue's dead as zombies. You must help the
Rogues destroy her.
Tip: Search the Cold Plains for the Monastery Graveyard.

(expensive!) Blood Raven is not a scarlet crow, but is an evil
heretic Rogue Priestess, who you must kill for Kashya, the leader of the
rogues. Religious conflicts are always bloody. Blood Raven is very fast, has
the ability to raise zombies from the graveyard, and does so constantly. There
is always a thick pack of them near the main entrance to the cemetery, and she
can be seen in the back, shooting Fire and regular arrows. They hurt quite a
bit , and she is very accurate. One interesting twist with Blood Raven, she
doesn't raise her fallen zombies, she just pulls new ones from the ground. So
you get full experience for all that you kill, and very shortly the ground is
truly littered with undead corpses. Blood Raven is a lot of fun to kill, since
she expires with a fantastic light show, as do many of the quest bosses in
Diablo II.
Your reward for killing Blood Raven is gaining the
trust of Kashya, and then being allowed to hire rogue mercenaries. You get one
for free immediately. Unfortunately, they are quite expensive to hire, not very
durable, and don't do that much damage with their arrow attacks, though you can
get ones with cold or fire arrow. This quest does not need to be completed,
since you will gain the ability to hire mercs once you reach a sufficient Clvl
anyway.
