Hratli This
sorcerer has mastered the ability to meld metal with magic. He claims a much
higher price than most blacksmiths, but his work is the best of any mortal. Also
his tongue is sharp as a blade and quick as a whip.
Repair - Repair damaged Weapons and Armor for a price.
Trade - Sells [Normal Armor] [Normal Weapons] [Magic Armor, Weapons]
[Bolts, Arrows,
Keys]* As a Sorcerer blacksmith working at
the docks of Kurast, Hratli has very little in the way of business in these dark
times. His magic has been put to good use, however, to maintaining the
enchantment that keeps the demons from entering the Kurast docks. Lean and long
haired, he comes across as slightly oily to the other townsfolk, but all of them
trust the armour and arms that come out of his shop. When you first get off
Meschif's creaky vessel, Hratli will be the first one to greet you and tell you
of what has happened in the jungle city. After you leave the pier and enter the
Spider Forest, Hratli will return to his blacksmith shop on the west side of the
town.
Functions Hratli will sell
you a variety of arms and armour, as well as arrows and bolts; his products are
always of exceptional quality. Of special note, however, he doesn't stock any
bows or crossbows in his store; for that, you will have to go look at Asheara's
goods.
With the many swarms of nasty
monsters in the jungles of Kurast, your items are bound get worn down
eventually. Hratli can repair your broken items for a small fee porportional to
the item's sell value. In addition, you can sell any non-quest item to him for
1/4 the item's selling cost.
Quests In additional to
starting you off in Act III, Hratli will supply you with your second quest, the
Gidbinn. Seems the magical enchantment he cast over Kurast wasn't strong enough,
and an ancient magical dagger is needed to give it a boost. If you find it
though, Hratli will inform you he doesn't have the necessary magic to use it;
however, he will direct you to Ormus the gibbering mage, who completes the
enchantment and the quest. |
